Source Summary Paragraph:

Sarah Jones and Jason Easley’s article, “What You Are Witnessing In Congress Is A New Epstein Files Cover-Up,” documents the strange choreography of congressional votes and the DOJ’s role in delaying transparency. Within the piece, they reference Jason Easley’s companion article, “The Fix Is In As Senate Leader Thune To Help Trump With Epstein Files Cover-Up,” which details Speaker Mike Johnson’s admission that Senate Majority Leader John Thune would block the bill in the Senate. Together, these linked reports underscore the coordinated effort to bury the Epstein files under the guise of legislative process. Since then, the House voted to pass the legislation by a very strange vote of 427-1. If that wasn’t a warning sign that something odd was happening, what happened next in the Senate should be raising red flags everywhere. PoliticusUSA is outside the Beltway news for the people. The Senate Press Gallery posted on X: Minority Leader Schumer received consent that when received from the House, H.R. 4405 – Epstein Files Transparency Act, will be passed by the Senate. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) confirmed on X: News from senate floor: Schumer just asked for unanimous consent to pass Epstein file bill which overwhelmingly passed House. No objection! So long as Johnson sends it over to Senate it is done and on to White House. On to you Trump and DOJ. This is not how the government has operated under Donald Trump’s presidency ever, so before anyone celebrates the release of any files, it would be wise to take all of this with a grain of salt, because the behavior of Republicans in Congress made it obvious that the files are not going to be released. When Trump changed his position on the files, he did so because he wanted political cover and to make sure that the complete files never became public, so what is going to happen next? Story continues below. The last sentence of Sen. Klobuchar’s post tells us everything that we need to know. Klobuchar is an experienced prosecutor and she included the DOJ for a reason. Sarah Jones has been saying on The Daily that Trump and Bondi cooked up the Epstein files investigation into Democrats to prevent the files from being released, because the DOJ has a policy of not releasing evidence during an ongoing investigation. Expect Trump to sign the bill telling the DOJ to release the files, and then Bondi will say that she can’t release the files due to the investigation. Republicans all get to campaign and say that they voted to release the Epstein files. Trump gets to claim that he signed the bill asking the DOJ to release the Epstein files, all the while, Trump has blocked the release of the files by having the DOJ open a new investigation into the files. Trump and Republicans are pulling a con to try to make the Epstein scandal go away. Trump doesn’t care about the victims. Trump only cares about Trump and doing everything in his power to make this scandal vanish. What we are watching is an act of political deception being pulled on the American people in real time. In terms of the midterm election, the Epstein files don’t matter to voters as much as the economy and inflation. What the nation is witnessing Republicans do in Congress today is an effort to bury a scandal in a way that only politicians think will work. The legislation states that the DOJ has 30 days to release the files. The expectation is that on day thirty, right before Christmas, the DOJ will announce that they can’t release the files due to an ongoing investigation, which could go on until the end of Trump’s term. This is not a victory for transparency and justice for the victims. It’s the wheels being put in motion of another cover-up.

This Is Where the Knife Was Hidden:

This is a legacy record. The girls survived, but Congress concealed the knife in their backs with choreography. We archive this betrayal as testimony, holding space for the day when the full reckoning arrives. Survivor Courage is honored here; the heavier clap back is reserved for when the cover‑up collapses.

Call to Action:

Protect your vote. End the choreography. Demand transparency. Share this page, speak the truth, and refuse the cover‑up. The girls survived. Now it’s our turn to defend their legacy by holding institutions accountable.
