The Collapse
Definition
The Collapse is the point at which constitutional protections cease to function in practice because the system responsible for upholding them has been structurally and institutionally compromised beyond repair. It occurs when breaches are repeated without consequence, cracks are ignored, fractures spread unchecked, and the mechanisms of accountability no longer operate. In a Collapse, the constitutional right still exists on paper, but the institutions charged with enforcing it have lost the capacity, willingness, or integrity to do so, leaving individuals effectively unprotected.
Why This Term Matters
The Collapse is when the Constitution still speaks, but no one in power listens — and the citizen stands alone in the space where protection used to be.
